About emma

Emma Jeffs is british designer based in London. Trained in textiles the relationship of pattern, surface and material is at the forefront of her designs. Her work has encompassed lighting, fashion and interior accessories.

In a mission to rid windows of net curtains she launched her adhesive film for windows. It has received a great deal of worldwide media attention including short-listed for Grand Designs Magazine best interior accessory 2006. It can be spotted on stylish windows throughout the UK and beyond.

Her design studio Surface Material Design produces decorative printed products for the interiors and the lifestyle markets. In addition to her own designs Emma provides a consultancy and commissioning service for both private and commercial clients. Working with architects, interior designers, retailers and manufacturers.

Many of Emma’s products and materials have won international acclaim. These include the prestigious UK government NESTA fellowship award in 2004 to research some of her ideas and techniques within industry.

Emma is especially proud to be working with some great UK manufacturing companies to produce her products and commissions. She endeavours to produce quality products to be enjoyed by all for many years.
